Experience
the stunning corals, fish, turtles, dolphins, and whales that
populate the islands. Kayak to a remote cove, snorkel or SCUBA

Now that you have unpacked, it is time to throw on your trunks and head out to the lagoon directly in front of the Seaside Zen Cottage.
This lagoon was used by ancient hawaiian chiefs for rest and relaxation.
It is a great place to cool off after a long travel to the Big Island of Hawaii.
Today, up to five turtles call the lagoon home. Before you go, you probably want to bring along some reef shoes or booties.
Mainlander feet usually can't handle sharp the lava that surrounds
the lagoon. There is a selection of booties left over from past
tenants. (we like to keep a selection on hand) You can also
purchase these booties from one of the many ABC stores in town.
(they are along Alii Drive) Alternatively, you can pick up some
from Wal-Mart. See a Hawaii timeshare and hawaii travel guide

Kayking to Kona
One of our favorite activities is to take out the Kayaks and
enjoy a leisurely paddle down to Kona. Not only is it a great
way to see the Kona coastline, it is also a fantastic opportunity
to have an intimate sighting of Porpoises, Turtles, and even
Whales. Once, a Whale came so close to us that it actually bumped
the boat. (nearly sending us all into the water) If whale watching
isn't in season, we bring a fishing rod along to see what we
can catch.
BEACHES
More than 80 beaches offer something for everyone - white sand, black sand, even green sand beaches.
HILO
Historic Downtown Hilo is alive and bustling. Enjoy the lush tropical scenery of Hilo Bay and Queen Liliuokalani Gardens. Waterfalls flow from the rain forest at Akaka Falls and Rainbow Falls. Shop at the islands most famous Farmer's Market. |
